A month-long digital art exhibition presented by SODA - Sorrento Digital Art Festival, bringing together a curated selection of digital artists, motion designers, VFX artists, CG artists and visualization specialists from around the world.
Submit your work, get selected by a jury of 10 leading digital artists, and have your work exhibited to an estimated 50,000 visitors at Villa Fiorentino in the heart of Sorrento.

About the exhibition
La Digital Dolce Vita is SODA’s flagship exhibition for 2027, hosted for one full month at Villa Fiorentino in Sorrento.
It brings together a curated selection of digital artists, motion designers, VFX artists, CG generalists, and visualization specialists from across the world, exhibited alongside SODA’s international conference programme from the 9th of March to the 4th of April 2027.
Selected works will be reviewed and judged by a jury of 10 featured artists, and winners will be announced shortly after the submission window closes.
Villa Fiorentino
Sorrento’s international museum & cultural venue
At the heart of Sorrento, just a few steps from Corso Italia and the historic centre, Villa Fiorentino is one of the city’s most distinctive cultural landmarks.
Built between 1935 and 1936, the villa is also known as Villa Fazzoletti, named after the Fiorentino family’s famous production of fine handkerchiefs, sold in Sorrento and abroad.
Today Villa Fiorentino is home to Fondazione Sorrento, an institution dedicated to promoting the cultural, artistic and historical heritage of Sorrento and the Sorrento Peninsula, both in Italy and internationally. Through its exhibitions, cultural events and initiatives, the Foundation has established Villa Fiorentino as a leading cultural venue, hosting important national and international exhibitions and cultural projects.
For one month, the Villa will become a platform for a new generation of international artists, connecting digital art, CGI, animation, visual effects and emerging technologies with the cultural identity of Sorrento.

For the 2027 edition, Fondazione Sorrento is a partner of SODA and the host institution supporting the realization of La Digital Dolce Vita.
Thanks to this collaboration, SODA’s digital art exhibition will take place inside the historic spaces of Villa Fiorentino, bringing contemporary digital creativity into one of Sorrento’s most important cultural venues.

But in Sorrento, it is much more than this.
It is the art of enjoying being alive. A coffee at the bar. A long lunch with friends. The sun on your face. The evening passeggiata. Sitting by the sea with nowhere else you need to be.
It is the idea that time enjoyed is never time wasted. La Digital Dolce Vita, part of SODA in Sorrento, invites digital artists to explore what this idea means today. In a world increasingly shaped by screens, algorithms, artificial intelligence and constant acceleration, can technology help us rediscover the beauty of simply being alive?
Through digital art, we invite you to reinterpret La Dolce Vita for our time, bringing together the timeless Italian celebration of beauty, pleasure and human connection with the tools and visual language of the digital age.
There is no required literal interpretation of the theme. Artists are encouraged to develop their own perspective and explore La Digital Dolce Vita through their individual artistic language, whether poetic, conceptual, humorous, emotional, technological or unexpected.
Categories
The way we consume content has evolved because of social media. People consume content mainly through phones, this is a challenge that pushes artists to have to rethink composition and animations in vertical format. Do not see this as a limitation, see it as a challenge for your creativity.
Artists can submit to both categories, but only one work per artist may be selected for the exhibition.

Open to any digital artists, motion designers, VFX artists, CG generalists, and visualisation specialists: freelancers, studio leads, creative directors and art directors alike. International submissions are welcome.

Artists are encouraged to provide a concise explanation of their interpretation of La Digital Dolce Vita.

All eligible submissions will be reviewed by the SODA jury
Entries will be evaluated based on:
Creativity & Originality
The originality of the idea and the artist's ability to present a distinctive visual approach.

Artistic Direction
The strength and consistency of the visual language, composition and overall creative direction.

Interpretation of the Theme
How effectively the work responds to and reinterprets the concept of La Dolce Vita Digital.

Technical Execution
The quality of execution, craftsmanship, animation, composition and technical control appropriate to the chosen medium.

The jury’s decisions are final.
Selection &
Exhibition
A limited number of works will be selected from each category.
Only one work per artist can be selected for exhibition, even if the artist has submitted entries to both categories.
Selected works will be exhibited as part of La Digital Dolce Vita at Villa Fiorentino, Sorrento, from March 9 to April 4, 2027.
SODA may determine the final placement, order and presentation of works within the exhibition.
Awards
The selected works will form the official La Digital Dolce Vita Exhibition Selection.
Awards will be presented to outstanding works and artists selected by the SODA jury.
The final award structure, prizes and special recognitions will be announced separately through SODA’s official communication channels.
